In the summer of 2017, Northport Nursery School began construction on what has quickly become a focal point of the school. The first of its kind in the community, our outdoor classroom was built with a simple premise in mind: that children benefit from spending more time outdoors, especially in natural places. We believe that increasing the time that our students spend outdoors is a perfect way to nurture the sense of wonder that is so critical to their well-being and personal growth.

Like our indoor classrooms, the outdoor space includes designated areas for meetings, art, music, movement, building, free exploration and water play. Schedule a visit for a tour today!
